Refunds

We are here to make your refund process easy and seamless.

Let's review how the refund process works, including our updated and convenient requesting a refund button, and what to do after your cancellation.

How the refund process works

Fiverr doesn't automatically process refunds to your payment provider (e.g. credit card, PayPal, etc.) after an order has been canceled.

Once your order is successfully canceled, the funds will be credited directly to your Fiverr balance. The credited funds will be displayed next to your profile picture. You can also find them by visiting your order cancellation confirmation page and clicking "Fiverr balance" at the top. Alternatively, locate the "Amount" button and click the refunded amount displayed there, which will also be next to your profile picture.

When you place a new order, any available funds from your Fiverr balance, including those refunded from a previous cancellation, will be automatically applied to the purchase.

 

Note: The ‘Request a refund’ option is currently only available on iOS and desktop.

 

Requesting a refund to your payment provider

After your cancellation request is approved, you can easily request a refund to your original payment provider by clicking the 'Request a refund' button available under 'Payment methods' located in Billing and payments.

 

Note: You may see the funds back in your balance up to 10 days after your request has been processed.

 

 

Refund history 






You can now see your latest refund requests from the past 30 days.

If you have requested a refund within the past 30 days, you can click on the "Refund history" link to view your refund history, including a timeline of the process. Keep in mind that if you have a Fiverr balance but no refund requests within the last 30 days, the "Refund history" link will not be displayed.

Upon successful submission of a refund, you will receive a notification indicating that Fiverr has received your refund request and it is being processed.

Refund timeline

The amount of time to receive your refund from your Fiverr balance will depend on which method you choose to receive the funds.

PayPal
Refunds are usually completed within 10 business days.

Credit card
Refunds are usually completed within 10 business days—based on the card issuer’s processing time.

Note: When you request a refund, we’ll provide you with an estimated arrival time. There won’t be a confirmation showing as successful or completed.

 

Refunds to a different card or PayPal account

We are only able to refund funds to the original payment source used to process the payment. Fiverr is not able to change the card or PayPal account to where the funds will be credited.

 

Refund currency

If you paid for your order using a currency other than US dollars, your refund will be processed in the same currency and amount used for the payment.

What to do after cancellation

After your order has been successfully canceled, here are a few additional options to help you out:

  • Pick a different freelancer from a personalized recommendations list
    Fiverr will provide you with a personalized list of freelancer recommendations on your orders page, to help you complete your project and make the freelancer search process easier.

  • Use the “Match Me” tool to find a new freelancer
    Simply submit your project’s details and requirements directly to us with Let's find you the right freelancer. From there, we’ll manually match you with a better fit for your project.
