How to manage spam messages

Let’s review how to keep your inbox safe from spam and suspicious activity.

What is a “spam” message?

Any type of messaging activity that is unwanted, repeatedly occurring, and disruptive to the recipient’s experience is considered a "spam message" on Fiverr.

For example, unwanted offers to commercially-motivated solicitations that aim to drive traffic or attention to websites, products, and services outside of Fiverr.

  1. Go to your inbox > All conversations > Spam.
  2. Open the message and click unblock to reactivate the ability to send the client a message.
  3. You’ll then be able to respond within 24 hours before it affects your response rate.

Report a message

If you report a message for Fiverr to review:

  1. It’s important to also mark their messages as “spam”, so that your response rate won’t drop.
  2. Once you report the message, you’ll have the option to block the user from contacting you, as well.
