Taxes on orders

Important

  1. Clients may be charged with indirect taxes (e.g. Sales tax, VAT, or GST) depending on location, and any applicable law.
This is in addition to the price shown on the site and is always made known before payment.
  2. The price on the final checkout page includes all fees and taxes to be paid.
They are clearly shown so that you can approve the amount charged.
  3. Any taxes charged by Fiverr are forwarded to the relevant tax authorities.
  4. Fiverr is unable to accommodate users' exemptions from state sales/use taxes on orders—however, these can be claimed back from the local authorities (when applicable).

For clients located in Israel, Fiverr charges Value Added Tax (VAT) to those who order services on Fiverr. This means that a VAT charge will show up on all invoices and orders.

If you have a valid Israeli VAT ID number and you are eligible for a tax refund, you may submit Fiverr's invoice to the Israeli Tax Authorities. To receive an invoice with your company or personal details, you should fill out your billing details and check the box for receiving invoices through email. If no billing information is listed on the account, the invoice will be issued with the account's username only.  If you don't have a VAT ID number, please consult with your local tax authorities to claim back these funds.

We are not able to refund GST charges made before you registered your ABN on Fiverr.  If you have an ABN and are registered for GST, please enter your tax information to avoid being charged.

FAQs

  1. I have a tax exemption certificate, where can I submit it?
Unfortunately, our current processes are unable to accommodate exemptions from state sales/use taxes on sales transactions. If you are exempt from taxation, please contact your tax advisor for the best method to handle any refund of taxes paid.

  2. Not all orders I've made on Fiverr have included Sales Tax. Why is this?
The Sales Tax will be calculated according to your billing address, your relevant state tax laws, and the type of service you're ordering. Not all states tax the same services, and not all states have the same rates.

  3. I'm not located in the US, but my country also charges Sales Taxes. Will I be charged?
Fiverr does not collect sales taxes from clients located in other countries at this time, although this may change in the future.
